Starmer’s Zionist Purge

by

Donnachadh McCarthy

I am not a Labour Party supporter but I find Starmer’s purge of those MPs from the left of his party to be democratically disturbing.

Having kicked out Corbyn for the lying smear that he was “anti-semitic”, Starmer is using the same reason to kick out Diane Abbott.

The pretext is absolutely raw racism.

Abbott, in an interview two years ago, and repeated last week, stated the patently obvious: that the racism experienced by white people such as Irish people like me, travellers and Jewish people, is different from that experienced by black and brown people. It is only when I speak or people read my name that my Irishness becomes evident.

But no matter where they are, black people’s difference in a predominantly white society is always visible.

The Zionist-funded S S Starmer and his Zionist-funded Labour cabinet are now ridiculously claiming that this is Abbott being anti-semitic. As an Irish person, I absolutely refute this outrageous lie and completely agree with her statement, which to the vast majority of sane minded people is completely non-controversial.

Genocide

As the UK/US political and billionairist media establishments continue their collusion with the genocide in Palestine, the Zionist lobby is ramping up their efforts to destroy all opposition to the oceans of Palestinian blood being shed between the river and the sea.

The Zionist-funded US Republican administration is seeking to expel all foreign university students who dare to protest the genocide. US universities that allow the freedom to protest are being targeted for defunding by the Zionist-funded Republican administration.

The Zionist-funded Starmer government has gone one step ahead of the US Presidency by the travesty proscription of civil disobedience to Zionist terrorism as “terrorism” under Blair’s authoritarian and racist Terrorism Act.

This attack on Abbott is an attack on black people’s right to free speech. It is an attack on all of our rights to free speech on the genocide in Palestine.

Starmer’s ban on peaceful placards supporting PalestineAction and opposing Zionist genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestine, has potential penalties that exceed those by Putin. Maximum penalty for supporting Palestine Action’s campaign to block arms sales and military support for the genocide is 14 years. Maximum penalty for opposing the Ukrainian war in Russia is 10 years.

The increasing fascism of the suppression of opposition to the Zionist genocide of Palestinians in the UK/US chillingly brings home the truth of that maxim enunciated by Martin Luther King Jnr:

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere”.

Balfour Declaration

The century of injustice perpetrated on the Palestinian people since the UK government issued the racist imperial colonial outrage of the Balfour Declaration, handing over Palestine to Zionism, is now coming home to roost in the UK with Zionist fascism enabling the arrest of peaceful anti-genocide placard holders under so-called “terrorism laws”.

This authoritarian line, that even the hard-right Tory Home Secretaries Priti Patel and Suella Braverman did not cross, is a threat to all of us, whether we support women’s rights, gay rights, climate protection, nature repair etc etc.

Establishing a precedent that any civil disobedience leading to property damage, can lead to proscription as a terrorist organisation is a blank cheque to any future Reform government to ban all opposition as terrorists.

It is time for us all to say “I am Diane Abbott. I am Palestine Action.”

Because in truth – we are!

No matter what our politics, left, right, centre or green!

No matter if we disagree or agree with every policy Diane Abbott supports.

Please check out the amazing Defend Our Juries weekly civil disobedience actions as part of their campaign in support of de-proscription of PalestineAction and consider if you are willing to stand up for freedom to protest for all of us and future generations of protesters?
